Asset Management is a process that consists of making informed decision concerning managing the life cycle of Assets that enhances the reliability, performance and cost of Generation, Transmission & Distribution Facilities. This process requires analysis of key elements of operation and maintenance for a facility’s equipment. These elements include:
PROView Capabilities
PROView integrates the above asset management elements and supports the analysis to enhance a Facility's productivity. This tool monitors 24/7 and pushes alerts and recommendations over the Web to the cognizant personnel regardless of their location.
Reliability Basis determines the criticality of the Asset, how it fails and the maintenance strategy required to protect it from failing while providing ample time to plan and schedule the repair.
Asset Condition Assessment determines the current equipment condition using expert modules (CAMs) that integrate process, operating and diagnostic data. Exceptions are pushed to the responsible person for action.
Performance is also calculated using CAMs that analyze process data to track changes in performance and equipment efficiency.
Risk is then estimated based on the Asset’s condition, criticality ranking, life cycle costs and market value of power.
